1. Who we are

This website, starzprojects.co.uk, is operated by Starz Projects Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17161734), registered office 53 Cookridge Drive, Leeds, LS16 7HP ("we", "us", "our").

We are the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions or want to exercise your rights, contact us at contact@starzprojects.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

We only collect what we need. Depending on how you use the site, that's:

Submit the contact form	Your name, email address, project type, and the message you write.
Simply visit the site	Our hosting provider automatically logs technical data (IP address, browser/user-agent, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. We do not use this to identify you.
Accept analytics cookies	Only if you opt in: Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data — pages viewed, approximate region, and device/browser type — to help us improve the site.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are popular and roughly where visitors come from — so we can improve it. It is off by default and only runs if you choose "Accept" on our cookie banner; IP addresses are anonymised. Until you accept, Google Analytics does not load and sets no cookies.

Cookies. The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga), and only after you opt in through the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies. If you decline — or ignore the banner — no analytics cookies are set at all. The only thing stored otherwise is your own cookie choice (in your browser's localStorage), so we don't have to ask you twice. No advertising or cross-site trackers are used anywhere on this site.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry and scope your project — lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
• To keep the site secure and working — lawful basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site against abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") who handle data on our behalf:

• Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA) — processes and delivers our contact-form submissions to us. This means your form data is transferred to and processed in the United States. Formspree offers a GDPR Data Processing Agreement and appropriate transfer safeguards (see Section 5). Privacy policy: formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
• Hostinger — our web host, which stores the site and its server access logs.
• Email — when you email us, your email provider and ours process the message so we can read and reply.

We may also disclose data if required by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our processors (notably Formspree) are based outside the UK, in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision — so your data receives an equivalent level of protection. Formspree's Data Processing Agreement incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK Addendum for these transfers.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails and form submissions for 24 months after our last contact with you, after which they are deleted. Security logs are kept for the short period our host retains them.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased ("right to be forgotten");
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive your data in a portable format; and
• withdraw consent at any time (for optional analytics cookies), without affecting prior processing.

8. Complaints

We'd always like the chance to resolve a concern first, so please contact us. To make a complaint about how we've handled your personal data, email contact@starzprojects.co.uk with the subject "Data protection complaint". We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it, and tell you the outcome of our investigation without undue delay.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
